New here, but not new to HD. My first was a mid-70's Sportster. Then a 1985 Sportster. Wife and I left on a short trip and stopped after about an hour for breakfast. We both were suffering from the vibrations so I turned around, went back to the dealer and traded for an 85 Low Rider. Yeah, owned that second Sportster for about 12 hours.
Next was a 1989 (?) FLHS. Few months after I bought it some guy wanted it. Wouldn't take no for an answer so I priced it too high. He bit and that was gone.
Next was a 1993 Fat Boy. Spent way to much money on chrome and paint. Bought the wife her first Harley, a 1993 Low Rider. Later bought her a 1995 Fat Boy.
In 1999 I decided I wanted a dresser so I got a good deal on an Ultra Classic, Police Officers Special Edition. Then got an even better deal on a new Ultra sidecar for my dog. Rode the Ultra with side car until the dog died a few months ago.
Side cars are a PITA so I began shopping again. Just picked up a 2009 Road Glide, orange...did I say ORANGE?
I'm an old guy. Been riding something since 1954, bought a Vespa in 1960 while stationed in Turkey. Did a lot of motorcross in my youth.
Was a cop for 10 years, but never wanted to ride on duty...too much traffic enforcement and I was having more fun with the ghetto folks.
