I finally took the plunge and joined your form. I have been poking around this form from time to time and it seems like a great group of folks that have one thing in common, they love their Harleys, (as do I). I have been riding bikes on and off since high school. Harleys since 1999. My 1st Harley was a 1200 custom. I am currently riding a 2001 FXDL that has had a lot of work done, its a sweet bike but I am getting the bug for a touring bike - SG, RG or EG. I am struggling with a decision between these bikes. I like the SG because it seems to fit me better (Im 57/160lbs), plus I like the looks of the bike. But I do need to add a tour pack for those 3-5 day camping trips I go on twice a/yr, (about 1,500miles ea). I like the RG because of the comfort level on those long trips and cruise control is a must and its standard on the RG The EG because of the cost, I get the tour pack (detachable) and cruise control. I go on 3-5 day rides a couple of times a year (1 up). The wife likes to go on shorter rides, in addition I ride the twisties every Friday with friends. All said - A radio, cruise control and some additional wind buffeting sure would be nice. I was hoping to get some feed back from the vast experience of folks from this form. BTW I am 55 and I think comfort is starting to edge out coolness to a degree. I look forward to talking Harleys
