The other option you may be interested in is to include pictures (not thumbnails) directly in the post. This is done by putting your pictures on a website (photobucket I understand is one choice). Then copy the link into your post. Surround the link with the tag (include brackets but not spaces).
As long as the link is reachable, your pictures will be visible. There is a testing area here in the forums to try it out.
