Just thought I should introduce myself before I went any further.
Although I've been riding since I was 16 (58 now) I hadn't owned a bike for about 12 years, the last one being a mild custom Harley. About 3 years ago (after the divorce. Can some of you relate?) I decided to start riding again. I bought a used Yamaha 650 V Star. Nice but not enough bike. Last year I bought an '07 Honda VTX 1300c. Again, nice bike but my heart still called out for a Harley. I happened across an '02 Heritage Softail the other day. Super condition with extra goodies. I caved in. It now sets in my garage with the Honda in the yard with a "For Sale" sign.
It feels good to be on a "Hog" again. It rides nice, plenty of power for 2 up riding and has all the accessories we need. I say "we" because the love of my life now sets behind me when I ride.
She had never ridden before she met me. She took to it like a duck to water. It's really nice to have someone that loves riding as much as you do.
I don't see myself trading off bikes for quite some time.
I'll be making a few changes, adding my personal touches but overall this is what I've wanted.
