I've heard good things about the Mustang seats. I will be looking into those for sure. I know I will need a driver's backrest. Those seem harder to come by for the Sportsters, but it sounds like the softer ride on the Dynas would be better for me.
I am mostly worried about ending up with too much bike for me to handle. I don't really want to get something cheap to start with, but I am prepared to spend as long as it takes learning the ropes in parking lots and back roads.
Either way though, I am excited and can't wait until the fall when I can go bike shopping! I've looked in Colonial HD, but they don't seem like they have much in the way of deals. Actually, when I told them I am firmly planning to buy in November or December and want to do all my research on models etc in advance, they completely blew me off even though I was the only person in the whole place.
Welcome to the forum from WI. Sometimes dealers can be ****** eh'. I totally recommend taking the course. I did after riding for a few years and I got alot out of it. Have fun!
WELCOME MollyDoll from SE Va! I was just thropugh Christiansburg last week!
I grew up in NOVA and moved 13 years ago. Lots of friends up there ride many are here on the forum. Would be worth calling Hampton Roads HD during your shopping. Talk to Billy or Jason and tell them what you are looking for and they will find it (and make a good deal) for you.
Good Luck with the MSF.
