Here in Fl. I can get a new 1200 (09) for 4995.00 Black out models 6995.00.


Surely this is a mistake.....

You'd be surprised at how you might do riding a big twin. If you have the money its worth a try. Some start out on Sportsters only to move on to the big twins anyway. If you want to go with the black bobbed Sportsters, I'd go with the Nightster or the Iron with the 1200 mod. Good deals are to be had on 09 stock (though I haven't seen anything close to the deals reported earlier in this thread).

first take the motorcycle drivers class, that will let you know if you really want to ride a bike, then id go with a used sporty, should be able to pick one up for well under $5000.00. the only draw back to a sporty is theres not much resale value, therefore buy cheap. my neighbor has the 2000 something, the anniversary model with the 1200 kit and couldnt even get $5000.00 for it with only 20,000 miles on it.

welcome to the forum. best to go to a dealership, sit on few bikes, test ride them and pick the one that fits right for you...of course taking $$$$ into consideration.

Congrats on takin the course. Remember you can allways go to the local dealer and Rent a different model for a day...and see what fits your fancy.
