Met on Friday with my local HD dealer and a custom shop that is much closer to my home and office. Was really impressed with the custom shop Bucks County Cycles in Sarasota. And not so impressed with the local HD service manager.
I take the scoot in on Wednesday for a through going over, new tires, switch to synthetics, 10K service and replacement grips and headlamp lens. Spent some quality time bonding this weekend. The shop manager for BCC thought that at 10K miles the source of the vibration was probably not the head bearings but more likely would be cured by a re-torque of the head and truing, balanceing the wheels and replaceing the tires.
He seemed like a straight shooter. Has anyone out there done business with BCC? Also, any solution for the rear brake pedal on a Heritage? I want my floorboard back. Would ideally like to move the pedal forward and lower. Any suggestions?
