Default 2006 heritage changes?

Good day all. Brand new to this forum. Old to the navy. Have enjoyed riding café racers(dating myself), and wrist rockets for many years and I am now in a position to get that Harley I have always dreamed of (Heritage). While reading some of these great threads I have noticed that on occasion you mention features, ect, of future models such as the exclusive use of EFI as the way ahead for Harley Davidson. Can anyone tell me if the 95 inch motor the 2005 Fatboy has will be introduced next year on the 20th anniversary Heritage? I have been scouring the web, talking to dealers and consulting with mediums but I cannot find any hint about what I see as a logical step in engine displacement the company should take. Does anyone have any views or comments on this? Thanks

No idea, but good luck on your search. If you find anything, post back with the results.

TNW, I wouldn't wait, there's always a reason to wait for the next improvement, just get the ride you like.

WELCOME! I'm not sure about the 95" engine, but I do believe there are new emissions rules that take effect on the 06 models.

If it were me, I wouldn't wait for the '06 models for one simple reason. EPA. The new regs go into effect. Stories vary, but it looks like doing any, repeat ANY engine mods with these models will be next to impossible. Rumors of breakaway exhaust bolts, locked down EFI controllers, etc. Water cooled and other items as well. If you don't mind a totally stock bike, it doesn't matter, but these EPA regs scare me. How about being allowed to build 1, that's right only 1 custom bike in your lifetime.

Scares the hell out of me.

Welcome

The guys are right about the new regs.I guess I'll have my 05 from now on.They will start the 06 models in July so it's gonna be hard to get an 05 if you wait very long IMO.My local dealer can't keep any Haritages at all so good luck in you search.
