I started wrenching on shovelheads almost a full year before I even owned one (I guess some of the riders in Myrtle Beach thought that if I could keep an A-10A in the air, I could keep a motorcycle rolling on the road). My first HD was a 1975 FXE that I owned for 19 years until someone in a Z-3 on hwy 75 decided they wanted my space more than I did. Man, I miss that bike.
I now ride a '77 FXE and a 2000 FXD, and have an '84 project in pieces. After 29 years on Harleys, I guess I'm still a sucker for those "stripped down dressers." Or is that "sportsters on steroids?"
