In my opinion, wear jeans or long pants. Also, a good pr of shoes is important, like an engineer boot or harness boot. Mainly because they're not slippery on the bottom. You'll know why, the first time you sit on your bike & lean it a little while you're wearing flip-flops or leather-soled shoes, and they start slipping on a little gravel! Also, leather is cheap insurance!
