Hi all, I'm in process to get a Road King Classic flhrci silver...... SO NICE BIKE !!!
I Admit, as a lot of people, I used to have japanese bikes (still have FJR1300).
Unfortunately, I live in Quebec (Canada), and I will have to wait .... long long months before to ride on my HD.
I heard about reliability problem, but it is probably old stuff. Anyway, I'm in love with that bike .... a real bike.
I've never heard of a reliability problem with a Harley Davidson. The new machines with a computer are gone when they're gone but very reliable until something happens to a major component. I have a '56 Electra Glide that will still take a trip - if I kick it into action.
The Road Kings are super all around bikes and being located all the way up there, you need the FI and a computer to manage the fuel. You are just about there - need a push?
Welcome, I'm new here also. You can learn a lot by reading the post. I ride a 94 ultra and as far as reliability, I've ridden it through 13 states this year and I'd trust it to go to the rest of them. I've had a couple of minor problems but they were self inflicted.
