Hello!! Posted this in the dyna section in the 'Dyno Power Muffler' thread, but being a newbie, thought I'd post it here as well:
First Harley, first mod & first post!
Been lurking for a while and thought Id introduce myself with my first mod. Just got my bike about 2 months ago 2002 Low Rider with 157 miles on it (no, I did not leave out any digits!), everything stock. I was looking for some slip-ons when I came across this thread. Since I paid cash for the bike, I really didnt have the funds to start buying a bunch of stuff, but when cbz1200n offered his for sale, I had to give them a try .the price was too good to pass up. Put em on this weekend & went for a 200 mile ride with some friends to try them out. They sound WAAAAAAYYY better than the stock muffs, kinda like the difference between a cats purr and a lions roar. Theyre not quite as deep & rumbly as I had hoped, but Im pretty happy with the sound. Theyre pretty loud when you get on the throttle, but they didnt bother me at all cruising down the highway .I kinda liked hearing the exhaust over the wind noise for a change! Not too sure that I really like the looks of em, though, being so small, but the more I look at them and think about what they cost, the better they look!
I know, this thread is worthless without pics, but others have posted pics here & mine look just like theirs, cept my bike is a different color! I did make a sig pic, though, with a pic taken before the mod another first come to think of it my first (feeble) attempt at photoshopping!
Like that color combination. Congrats and Welcome from central Washington. Great people here, tons of info and alot of usable knowledge. Enjoy yourself. Geezer
