Hello all,
I used to ride for about 10 years and then stopped riding for about 20+ years. I have been wanting to get a bike for many years and finally decided it was time to ride again. I took the MSF course as a refresher which was the best thing I could do. I looked at a few different Harleys and finally bought a new 2009 FLHR which I absolutely love and love riding. I have put about 500 miles on it so far and having a blast.
I will slowly put on some add-ons but am not in any hurry. I joined this forum to read and learn tips from the long-time riders. I must say the hardest part right now is getting the braking down smooth consistently instead of OOMPF UGH $#@; but I am getting better using both front and rear brakes. This is the largest bike I have ever owned and it will just take some time and practice.
Thanks for having this forum - I look forward to reading and learning.
Ed

Welcome from Bristol, England.
Your not alone. There are many of us more 'mature' members who've returned to biking after many years away. Enjoy the ride and stay safe.
