Hey. How's everybody? I "introduced" myself here a couple of years ago, after I bought a 2005 Xl883C with the intentions of doing some engine work and playing with it awhile. I have had several previous bikes and a few other Harleys (ironhead Sporty and Dyna), and I wanted a newer one to play with. Now the 883 is a 1250 with cams, headwork, so forth. So, I bought a 2001 Road King a few weeks ago. I haven't decided yet if I will do much to this one, although a buddy has offered to let me ride his tweaked '95 Electra Glide, so I probably will.
I've already used this forum extensively, used it to gather information on the cam chain tensioner check. Did that few nights ago. They are worn but still within service limits, so I will go back in this winter and fix that issue. Not sure what I am going to do there, yet, but I am sure someone on here will have an opinion as to what I should do!
Dont ride Ur buddies unless U want to tear into Ur new one... a tweaked 95 is a really strong build and will impress u a lot compared to a stock 88..
after that ride U'll have to do it...specially after coming off the sporty..
Congrats on your bike and Welcome to the forum.
