Hey everyone my names Mike ive been reading these forums for a while and always wanted a Harley at a young age because it seems everyone in my family has one. Im 19 years old turning 20 soon and i just passed my msf course and received my endorsement. Ive saved up some money and cant wait to get a harley.
Also I had a quick question my hd dealership here will let me test drive a bike and they keep persisting on me riding the bikes i like, im sure i would be fine but is this really a wise choice from taking the msf course on a 500cc to test driving a 1000+cc heavy bike. They said that alot of beginners have and as long as im capible, its not a huge change. Any tips from people who've just hopped on a harley or any other advice would be apreciated!
I had never ridden a bike bigger than 250cc until i got my harley. I took the MSF course at bradley airport and rode a yamaha TW125. Before that i had been riding my KTM250sx 2 stroke. I purchased my nightster at gengras in east hartford just a month after passing the MSF course and had no problems at all. In fact it "feels" lighter than the other bikes due to the lower seat height.
