Years ago I rode an AMF Sportster and swore I'd never buy a Harley. Then in the 80's I tried again and discovered it sure wasn't an AMF. From then on I dreamed. Had a Wing till the late 80's. Then finances, living outside DC, a nervous wife and small kid led me to sell. Since then I only had occasions where I could borrow a bike and ride a bit. Always smaller bikes and usually Honda or Yamaha.
TWo days ago that changed. Couldn't do a new one but I got an Ultra Classic. Damn but I forgot how heavy a touring bike was. Now like the McDonalds commercial says " I'm loving it".
Glad to be back to riding again. I sure missed it. Glad to see this forum as I am sure it will be an excellent resource.
Live in PA, work in MD and plan on riding anywhere I can.
