Hey all I'm Chris from the Eastside of Michigan (N/E of Detroit). I've been riding my whole life but not for the past 3 years. I sold my bike when I became domesticated (married and bought a house). In fact it paid for the down payment on my home.
In the interim; my dad wrecked his Softail (a day after putting the insurance into "storage"), bought an '06 1200R while he rebuilt it. This winter he rebuilt the Softail from the ground up, lost his job and no longer needed the Sporty or the payment.
This July I became the new owner of said Sporty. Works out for everyone. Now she's sitting in the garage waiting for rearsets, 2 into 2's or a RB Racing LSR, cams and a fender chop. Fortunately, I haven't had time to do anything this winter because we continue to have sunny days in the 40's. I'm burning up the Sta-bil (Seafoam actually) but I keep sneaking extra days in.
Keep the greasy side down,
Chris

Congrats. Glad to have you join in the fun. Great place to hang around.... you may learn a little, may learn a lot, may not learn anything. But you will have a few good laughs and make some new friends. Welcome. Geez
Thanks all. Here's how she sits now (in aforementioned garage). I paid the taxes and removed everything that made it comfortable for my dad and uncomfortable for me. About 30lbs. of pegs, pullbacks, windshield, bags, bracket and chrome.
