Looks like I found the right place!!!
Hi, Im Chris. I live in Southern In. Im the guy or friend you have that has always been without a "real" bike. well, this is my year finally!! the wife and I have been riding a few differant metric bikes for the last 10 years. and a few years ago I had a friend of mine loan me his C90 Susuki 1500, thats when we knew that the road was meant for us. we love getting off work jumping on the bike and not getting home until Sunday night, we just knew that the metric bike didnt feel right. So now, we are shopping for a Harley. we have already decided to get a new touring bike, FLTR or a FLHTCUI. if we got the road glide we would deffinantly get a touring pack for it. but then again we thought we might as well get the ultra classic because we can remove the touring pack off of it. I guess these are silly questions but we do need help, ultra classic or road glide???? and the money difference aint that much , so we dont care to spend the extra on the classic. whats the pros/cons with the two if any?
Glad I found the site and joined!
Welcome to the forum from a former fellow Hoosier! (say that fast three times) Hard choices, it is really going to come down to personal preference in the end. I ride a Road King but am pretty sure a Road Glide w/o trunk is in my future, but wife rides her own scoot so two-up is rare and I am not going the trunk route.
My $0.02? For two up riding and all the extra features including bigger motor as I recall.......look at the Ultra Limited just out this year. Congrats for finding us and Good Luck!
I hope every thing you want you get. By the looks of things outside you got at least a few weeks before you will be able to ride anyway, so take your time and make shure you are getting what you want. My $.02 the lady will appreciate the tourpack.
