Just a note to say aloha to the HDF crew. I just picked up a '01 Road King that belonged to my kid brother who passed away in November. His wife, kids and I wanted to have it stay in the family, so I bought it off her and am having it shipped from Honolulu to Maui. I haven't been on a Harley since I sold my old bike back in 1990. LOL...When he was sick, I'd start it up and ride it around the neighborhood to get the oil heated up and circulating. Does that count? But, I AM going to take it good and slow for a few hundred miles!
Enjoy the Road King. I have a lot of family in Hawaii. My dad was born in Hana, actually the plantation Kealeku near Hana. I have cousins in Kahalui, and I was raised in Kailua, Oahu. Now I live on the mainland, but I sure do miss Hawaii.
Glad to have you join in the fun. Great place to hang around.... you may learn a little, may learn a lot, may not learn anything. But you will have a few good laughs and make some new friends. Welcome. Geez
