Hello everyone I just wanted to pop in and introduce myself
I'm Nate and from NW ohio, 31 and Married two kids, blah blah blah...lol. I am doing all my research currently to buy my first HD and I have my mind set on a FLHX (street glide). I have rode for a while now, but I used to ride sportbikes. So the last one was sold before I killed myself. Now I want something I can customize and that has a personality/class.
Yesterday I just had my heart broken as the perfect bike was sold just shortly after I looked at it and I just wanted a little more time to think things over. I guess you snooze you lose right?
I am currently looking at wrecked and rebuilt bikes because with the lower cost and sometimes predamaged parts, I can rebuild it more to my likings. I do not have any problems painting or fabricating so I think I would love to rebuild one.
Good luck. Lots of fun doing things your way. Glad to have you join in the fun. Great place to hang around.... you may learn a little, may learn a lot, may not learn anything. But you will have a few good laughs and make some new friends. Welcome. Geez

Welcome, If you search craigslist detroit on Harleys there is a guy that often has them with salvage titles, and light damage. maybe search on "harley salvage title"
There is a guy in lima that is rebuilding them alot also, that is where I seen the one that I loved yesterday.
So far I am learning alot and will take in as much info on this as I can handle, I love to learn about new stuff and if it involves saving money it is even more interesting to me...lol
SG is a great choice. Just traded my first Harley that I bought about 6 months ago for an SG. I came off of Sportbikes too and you will like the way the SG sits you better then some others I bet Good luck with your search and have a blast making it your own!
