Question Helmet fitting question

Sorry for another newbie helmet question. I have decided to get both a HJC FF (for shure) and open face (maybe). I am looking at both motorcycle superstore and cycle gear. Both have slightly different sizing charts and so does HJC itself for FF & OF both. Does anybody have comments on HJC sizing or if they are better for round or oval shape heads. Thanks for any comments or suggestions on stores and helmet both.

Welcome to the forummaybe you can find a store close to home that sells those particular brands. Go and try them on. Get the proper size. Then order online.

Me personally... I wouldnt order online only for the fact I want something I know is going to fit properly and not have to worry about the hassle of returning the item.
You can get 2 identical items and they will feel different.
I suggest finding a local store that sells what you are looking for and try them on and buy the one the fits the best... This is you noggin youre protecting.

Then again, I wear a skid lid, what do I know...

Definitely go to a local brick and mortar store and try different sizes on...

I bought my first helmet from a local dealer - thought it was a good fit when I left, but after wearing it for @ 30 miles, I rode right back to the dealer and told them it wasn't a good fit - they let me trade it for a different size... much better fit.

So, even with you trying them on in a store, you may not fully grasp the fitness of the helmet until you get some miles under your belt. Another good reason to get it locally so you can trade it for a different size (just make sure that they will let you do this if necessary before purchasing).

To make sure, absolutely try one on. If you use a mailorder store, make sure you can return or exchange.
