Hey BB,

Thanks!

I'm actually in 2 bands. Exciter, which is an 80s speed metal band (they predated and toured with Metallica/Megadeth, etc...), and my other band, which is sort of an updated 80s classic Heavy Metal band, that is between names right now... Both bands play originals.

No snowmobile for me. Even though I've lived in Canada all my life, I've never liked winter... with the exception of when I was a kid, and it meant days off school! I'm convinced that I got the drunk stork from the Bugs Bunny cartoons, and he was SUPPOSED to deliver me somewhere hot and dry, but got lost, and brought me here instead! Hehehehe...

Oh, and if you think the basses in my pictures are deadly, go check THIS out. These are "in-progress" pictures of a custom bass I'm having made by MOSER CUSTOM SHOP. I'll actually be picking that bass up when I go to Anaheim in January.
Dude,

The stork thing is too funny! [sm=lol.gif] That new axe is pure madness! [sm=devilgrin.gif] That is without a doubt the coolest base I have ever seen. What type of wood is it? How will it be finished? The headstock is totally cool and matches the body so well. I am a big fan of 80's and 90's metal myself. Don't think I have ever heard of Exciter although I do listen to Metallica and Megadeth among allot of other metal bands... [sm=guilty.gif] I love to crank tunes when I ride. [sm=icon_rock.gif] Man, you gotta love playing in a band for a livin'

Hey BB,

Thanks! The bass will KILL!! It's maple neck through mahogany body wings and an ebony fretboard. It will be painted high gloss black with CHROME (NOT silver) bevels on the body and headstock. The bullethole inlays and "Pure Evil" carving (which I chose not because I'm into the satannic **** -I'm not - but because when I first saw a mockup of that bass, that was the first thing that popped into my head!) were my idea along with the paint scheme and electronics choice/layout.

If you dig early Metallica and Megadeth, you'd probably LOVE Exciter. Megadeth's first US tour was opening for Exciter in 83 (or 84). Do a search on the net, you'll find LOTS of info on the band.

I WISH I was making my livng playing... not yet though. I have a day job, but my schedule is very flexible, so I can take time off as needed to tour, record, etc...

What do you use to play the tunes when you ride? Like a Wlakman/mp3 player/discman with earbuds?

Cheers!

I use a Walkman and an MP3 player depending on the day and what I feel like listening to... I use a set of Sony earphones that loop around your ear and I have a set of earbuds coming for Christmas. The ones that loop around are good to about 60mph or so and then there is too much wind noise (no helmet law here). When it's cool out I sometimes where a tight hat and pull it down over my ears and that keeps the sound in well. The earbuds should take care of the wind noise for summer riding.

Just picked up the Shinedown CD and like that pretty well. Dropbox just played here this week. They rocked.

I will definatley check out some of your stuff as I like Kill' em all and Ride the Lightning allot. I like some of Megadeths earlier stuff but listen to Countdown to Extinction and Youthanasia the most. [sm=icon_rock.gif]
