Default Another new guy

Hey ladies and gents just wanted to drop in and say hello for the first time. Ive been trolling the forums for awhile now but hadnt signed up till today.

As we all know our scoots are more important than us so Ill start there LOL.

2010 Softail Fatboy bought while down range and picked up in november when I rotated back stateside. Ive spent more money on parts and accesories since takeing possesion of my love than I have on my three kids LOL. So far the list of mods is limited to bolt on stuff.

Lapera solo seat
Tbar's and internal wiring
Swing arm mounted license plate with tag light and LED brake light
Slammer 2" adjustable rear lowering kit
Volar spike aircleaner
Genuine HD brake pedal cover, shift pedals, floorboard inserts
Billet shift arms
Santee Venom by BBC exhaust with heat shields
Khrome werks torque cones
Vance & hines fuelpak
Kuriakan grips
Billet flame mirror's

Since I could not find a bolt on strutless rear fender for the late model 08 and later softails ive been in the process of chopping, cutting, welding and pretty much destroying a kustomwerks wide *** 9" strutless rear fender to fit the newer style frame. Also considering a 2' stretched tank since Ill already have to make a custom seat pan to accomodate the new rear fender.

Now onto the less important about me stuff LOL.

Father of three, Active duty Army. returned home from deployment to iraq in support of OIF in october of 2009. Avid car and motorcycle lover. Generally dislike stupidity. I dont care for the rivalry between some of the snootier harley owners and the itallian/japaneese motorcycle owners. As far as im concerned two wheels is two wheels and riding is about RIDING the love of the open road and the wind in your face, not the machine your on. Granted I love my harley but I dont think owning it makes me a better or a more qualified rider than the next guy.

I love my family and would do anything for them. The sibbling I hated the most growing up which was my little brother is now my best friend and mechanic. He takes better care of my bike than I can and knows more about two wheeled machines than any dealer mechanic I have ever met.

Well I guess thats about it for now, sorry for the long intro but wanted to give as much insight into myself as possible.

So let the hazing begin LOL.

Ride free and ride safe.

Nice write up... My older brother and I are closer now than we were when younger, we were more into beating each other brains out all the time, at 12 I out grew him and got the better part of him, after that one we never really duked it out again.
He ended up being 5'9""-150#'s and I'am 6'2''-280, side by side U'd never know were brothers.

Ride safe and have a great spring.
Nice to have you aboard HDF,
From Indiana.
