Welcome to the forum from San Diego. I would for sure have a mechanic look first. HD are expensive to fix.

I got my Fat Boy for 8.500 was cared for like a baby.now it's mine to cuddle.
If the bike was well taken care of 7k aint bad. mine had 57k on the speedo and I got all the paper work sense it was new....the last owner paid 25.000 for my bike in 2002 I even got the old loan paper work with it!!
