Welcome from one Dyna owner to another!!! Here's a tip for you. If you want to do upgrades, you might want to do it soon. Many parts are being discontinued and are not available through Harley anymore. Example....Chrome front ends on 06 Heritage Softail Classics. They discontinued them in 2008 and couldn't be ordered from "the mother ship" !!! Anyway, if you cant get the part you want ...do a Google Search. That's where we found many "discontinued" parts which were sitting on Dealers shelves all over the country. We found a new OEM Chrome front end from a dealer in Florida, and a new Pre 2006 Screamin Eagle Slip On's in Oregon.
Also be advised that starting next year, Harley is going to an entirely different PART NUMBERING SYSTEM. I recommend you ask a local parts dealer for a free copy of the 2010 accessory catalog which is still using the current numbering system to find parts for your 2005 that you might want in the future.
Again...Congrats on your new scoot.....and I'll probably see ya in the Dyna part of the Forum
