I still have the R1, it's a keeper. I live in Farmington and bought my Superglide in Albert Lea from Bergdale HD, they were great to deal with, no freight or set up charges.
I will be in California for the Moto GP race at Laguna Seca on July 9th, I'll be riding there and back on the new Superglide. My brother and I will be taking the scenic route through Montana and Glacier National Park on the way there, and we will roll through the Black Hills on the way home. All together we'll ride in 11 different states.
Howdy again Tony. On your trip to Montana, I would also recommend a run to Flathead Lake. It's in the general area that you will be traveling in. They used to have a cruise out of Poulson and it was fun to see the lake with all the bald eagles in the trees. I've been through Glacier Lake several years ago and I enjoyed my trip. You might take along something extra for cold riding. I went through the park during the summer and it was still a little cold up there. I ran through some cold rain but it was still fun. Enjoy your trip.
Yes we will be riding right by Flathead lake and will take in the scenery.[sm=smiley20.gif]
Being from Minnesota I realize the need to be prepared for some crazy temperature and weather changes, so I will be prepared for the cold temps we may run across.
Welcome from the bluegrass state! Can't wait to see your pics. I've owned one bike; an 02 FXDX. I thought about getting a Nighttrian, but the service manager talked me out of it. If you want a bicke that corners and cruises...check out the Superglide Sport.
