Welcome to the forum! I too plan on keeping my bike for a very loooong time, made that deal with the wife after tradeing in my v-star as soon as it was paid off. Although now that I think about it, nothing was mentioned that I couldn't get a second or maybe third bike.....hmmm, interesting. Something to work on now.

Welcome to the Forum and man can I feel your pain!!!!! I rode a Shadow Spirit 1100 for two years before I got my Heritage, I kept saying I can't afford it and one day at the dealer just went ahead and bought my Harley, guess what, we are making it work, could of done the same thing two years ago. Where there is a will, there is always a way!!!! Things will come together for ya and your dream will come true!!!! Thanks for serving our Country!!!!

Yeah, it looks like I'm gonna have to save up a little bit before doing this. After an in depth financial discussion with the wife, and the Harley dealer, I'm going to have to sell the VTX first and then buy one. [&o] I have never shown so much restraint, but on a big purchase like this, I am going to have to appease the wife to a certain degree.
