Default Hello everyone! Question.

My name is Jeff. I do not own a motorcycle nor have any riding experience. I am on the path to becoming a nurse and plan on getting into ridin very soon afterwards. One of my concerns is that I see and hear people communicating to others about not getting to big of a bike right off the bat. My problem if that I am a big guy (5'10", 350lbs) so I need to be comfortable. I tend to "get things" easier than most. my question is what type of harley would you suggest I look into? I am think either a street glide or something along the hard bagger line.I really want an Electra Glide so I can go long distance riding. Should I be worried about getting "to much bike" early on? I will take a safety course before I buy and plan on taking the local ride like a pro course after I purchase a bike as well. Let me know.

Hello and welcome to HDF from NorCal... I agree with the others... Take a rider's course first... Then take your time researching the different models and test ride or rent the ones you are interested in... Buy the one you feel most comfortable on...
