I just acquired a 2008 Sportster 1200C (black/orange). This is the 20th bike I have owned and the first street bike since selling my VFR 750 Honda in 1989.
In the early 70's I worked at H-D in Milwaukee as an engineer. Most of my efforts were directed at the Snowmobile and Golf Cart, along with some bike assignments. Back then I had a first year Super Glide and a 1948 Panhead tank shifter. The latter I chopped and Willie G liked it enough that he had a picture of it on his office wall.
Spent the rest of my working years working in the automotive industry. Between dealerships and manufacturers I've been involved with Porsche, Ferrari, Mercedes Benz, DeLorean, and Nissan.
Besides riding I also like to restore classic Chevys and fly R/C airplanes.
Looking forward to enjoying the forums, and the Sportster on the county roads. I already have scars from riding in cities.
