[:@]Yes I am new here and never thought I would be seriously considering a Harley but I am now. I ride a BMW K1200GT and I've got to admit the stories I have heard about Harley's being outdated and obsolete are not true. I'm beginning to see that Harley builds there bikes this way for the looks, the sound, the feel, and the classic American heritage. Not because the company is peddling an inferior product for an inflated price tag sold to stupid, hairy overwight guys and big breasted chicks with nice well rounded thighs, oh yeah, that want to be a part cool by being in a club wearing membership jackets and no helmet. I'm considering starting with an 07 883R fora commuter. What do you think?
[IMG][/IMG] [:-]

Howdy From Dallas. The 883 would be great for commuting. 50s for mileage easy.

Thanks for greetings guys. If I wanted to use an 883R or a 1200 could I put some bags and highway bars on and use them for a long road trip too? I'm looking at an 07 883R for about 8,000, an 07 1200 for about 12,000 and an 06 Dyna for 12,000. Whats sounds good? I am 47, 5'10' 190lbs. I think I want to start out with something more sporty and maybe move toa big Tourer next. I also don't know anything about the differnt phases. Do you actually buy the bike ith intention of upgrading and phasing? I was astonished about the power of a Sportser, wow!! It was like trying to hold onto to wild horse. [IMG][/IMG]
