I recently acquired a 1999 FLSTC with 10,100 original miles. The exact bike I was looking for. Pretty much stock, Blockhead (uh, Evo, I guess) motor. I've ordered some goodies and once I wrench 'em on, I'll post a pic.
I sold my last Harley 22 years ago. Now that was an interesting bike. The pink slip referred to it as a 1952 Special Construction (oh yea, double blue tags and all). Pan/Shovel on a rigid frame, electrics consisted of a headlight and tail light/brake light PERIOD, rear mechanical brake ONLY, upsweep fishtails (baffles? I don't think so...), wide glide with, uh, 6" (I think) kick out up front. A rough ride, but a fun bike that lead to lots of interesting adventures.
So, quite a difference between the two. I keep forgetting I have a front brake....
The exhilaration of getting my face back in the wind is, quite literally, indescribable.
