Ok so I am new here and this is my first post. I am in the process of buying my first bike. I am getting the 2010 FXDC, vivid black, and having forward controls added upon delivery. I am currently deployed so it doesn't seem real yet but getting there. I finish the paperwork next month and the bike will be delivered to my house after I pay for tags and so forth in the States. I will be home at the end of August so pretty excited.
My brother in law got his first bike about a year and a half ago and I got the itch. I have ridden a couple of bikes but never owned one. I just felt it was time. I have five years left in the military and figured that if I wanted it, I had to get it now. I was going to get the 2010 Wide Glide but decided against it at the last minute. I guess I just liked the FXDC better. Well got to get back to work. Take care and hope to hear from you guys.
First off thank you for your current service, I wish you a safe return home.
Second, great choice man Id been eyeing the FXDC for a long time before I finally decided on it. Also looked at the Wide Glide much like yourself but in the end the Super Glide won out.
Gratz on your first bike, might I suggest you be sure to take a MSF course or its equal asap once you get home. It will remind your body how it felt to ride and give you some great pointers on how to be safe out there.
