Hi, I have been a member for a while but not posted anything before. I have a 96 Electra with a dead short with everything off. Took it in had the stator replaced, the regulator, starter relay. unhooked everything I can think of and still draws close to 7.3 volts. finally unhooked the ecm relay and away went the the draw. Replaced the relay and the volt draw came right back. The whole thing began when I replace cylinders, pistons, and had heads reworked. have new Harley battery so know it's not that. I have have poured a lot of $ at this and am getting no where. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.

yeppers, U need to post this question in either the tech, touring or general section, some in there are really good at wrenchen and elc problems.

sounds to me like your doing what you're supposed to do...
could your ecm be the culprit?
