Just moved to Holiday, FL (my son and I relocated here from *whispers* Iowa) in mid-November. Had a '01 Sporty 1200 before I moved but couldn't bring it with me so had to part with it. I miss riding and finally am able to pick up another bike.
It's an '07 Night Train (Black Denim). It's basically stock other than exhaust and only has 4,700 miles on it (the original owner obviously didn't ride it much).
Anyways, I can't wait to put some well deserved miles on the bike. And if anyone knows of any good routes in the Tampa Bay area, I'm open to all suggestions as I'm not that familiar with the area yet.
I just want to say thanks to everyone who's given out a welcome to me. I have a feeling I'm going to enjoy being part of the forum community. And hopefully I will be able to contribute back just as much as I know this place will give me.
You're close enough to ride to Bike Week, Biketoberfest - and the Leesburg rally is another good one to ride to. The rallys are a benefit of living in Florida. Don't get over your way much, so I don't know routes near Tampa, but I ride in Lake County (between you and Orlando) a lot, and there are some nice roads in that area.
Crystal River HD, Gator HD in Leesburg, and Lakeland HD are some nice dealerships to visit.
Enjoy the Florida life, where you can ride all year long.
