I'm new to this forum......I just purchased my first Harley-Davidson. It's an '05 Dyna Superglide, and I spend the extra 700 bucks and got the fuel injection. It's "Chopper Blue". It's my second motorcycle. My first bike was a Kawasaki Vulcan 800 A, that I had modified, and then sold because I thought I'd give up riding. Well, yesterday morning I went to the dealer with a check in hand and rode my new girl home. With 16 miles on the clock, I removed the seat, the slip ons, the tailight, and pushed the bars forward and adjusted the grips. The only engine mods I'll make will be to throw on some slip-on and a drop in K&N filter. I don't need any extra power. I am planning on putting a le para bare bones seat on it, some short rear springs, a Kuryakyn LED tailight and some chrome front fork sliders. Next will be some grips, and matching pegs and shift peg, and then maybe down the road some chrome dress up items. Oh, by the way it's got "laced" spoke wheels. I'm a spoke guy!!!
Glad you decided to join, and congrats on your new ride. Sounds like you've got a clear plan of where you want to go with your bike. I ride an '05 EG, and it's Chopper Blue as well, I love the color. Post some pics when you get the chance.
