Welcome! If you have any crank run out you will have to either adress the crank or stick with a chain or update to a 07+ chain style wich is much more durable compaired to previous chain desighns.
Some say that the gear-driven cams are noisier. I just did a 95 upgrade on my '03 and went with the Screaming Eagle 211s, on the recommendation of someone I trust, who's done a lot of these and directed us on this build. Only 50 miles so far (just finished the work on Sunday), but so far, they feel real good.
