When I was a kid in the early/mid 80's I lived in Cleveland for a few summers. I always thought it was a great city. Spent a lot of time at my dad's shop in the flats.
I never did understand why it got such a bad reputation. Well, except for that time the Cuyahoga caught on fire[&:]
Anyhow, sit back and look around. There's a lot of good people and info here.

Do you remember when the Cuyahoga river started on fire.
I wasn't born yet '69 or '70 I think.
I do remember everyone wrinkling their nose when I said I was goin to Cleveland and bringing that up. In fact, I still get it when i tell people how cool of a city it is/was.
I also remember the biggest rats I've ever seen coming out of that river. [&:]
It just seemed like a real friendly place. Neighborhood cookouts, parties in the park, cops were friendly with everyone. Only other place I've lived that was like that was Kennesaw Georgia.
Here in CA, everyone keeps to themselves. Definately a different environment.
