Hey GA Kracker! Wow, I did not know we were getting a Harley Dealership in Newnan! Excellent! We bought/are buying both of ours off of Hogs4sale.com from individuals. Looked at Earl Smalls but with all the fees and tax jacking up the prices, decided to buy from an individual instead. My bike has got only 1600 miles on it and my husband's only a little over 200. We live on Holbrook Road off of Smokey Rd -- Fat Cat Farm.

Yes, we both plan to make it to a Riders Edge Course. I wonder if the new dealership will offer one because going all the way up to Earl Smalls or Atl H_D is a pain in the bum from down in Newnan, plus both working fulltime and having a 16mo old at home. We're probably going to get our provisional license and just tool around close to home until we can take in a course.

The new dealer is going to be off exit 41 on interstate 85. they are owned by Atlanta HD. they are gonna have two riders courses out there. I love to ride Smokey rd. My wife and I live off Roscoe Rd also known as hwy 70. I have been riding nearly 20 years but she began a couple years ago. Your husband and you are welcome to join us nov 18 in Roenoak Al for a toys for tots ride. Hopefully not to cold. My wife loves hourses but we only have 1.5 acres here, she loved to ride them backm in california. A good friend of ours trades horses out of Carrolton.

GA Kracker, yes, I passed the new HD dealership going in on Hwy. 16 yesterday and figured that with the big paved parking lot behind it, they were going to have the Riders Edge Courses. That's good as I got my bike today and rode it up and down our long concrete drive a couple of times and confess to being a bit intimidated by it, especially on turns. Also discovered that if it is parked on a bit of a grade where it is leaning a little too far to the left, then I, at 5'2" tall, do not have enough strength and length of leg to be able to bring it back to center once I am on it and my husband has to move it for me. Of course, now I know and just won't park it in such a position in the future, but I am certain there is lots more for me to learn. So, I don't see me doing more than tooling up and down on the driveway until I can take in a Ridger's Edge Course and feel more comfortable handling it. So sort of an anticlimax. Thank you very much for the invite to ride and we hope you don't mind taking a rain check for the short term.

Of course, we just had to put the cart before the horse and get a bike before getting experience [8D]. What noobs, right?. Oh well, both this bike and the one my husband is getting were great buys. The great folks I bought mine from delivered it all the way from Memphis, TN and only charged me $50 to deliver it. My husband's bike (^^Stray Cat Blues up there being cheeky^^) was basically bought by the owner, driven home and then maybe once or twice more, then parked for the better part of a year as the owner started traveling with work too much to have time to ride, so it's a steal for about $2k less than the owner paid last year.

SportyN, looks like we have the same bikes except yours is newer. How are you enjoying yours?

Thanks for all the well wishes. Hopefully we'll be getting out and about enjoying the new bikes in the not too distant future.
