Welcome from the Windy City. Maybe rejetting will solve the richness. Aside from improving the intake breathing, the change in the exhaust affects the backpressure. Tuning backpressure to aid in expelling exhaust is an art. Free-flow isn't always the answer, improperly scavenged exhaust is similar to 2-stroke technology. More off the line, but fuel economy and spark plug longevity are compromised.
