Where to start? I'm 26 years old, in the process of getting my motorcycle permit, so here pretty soon i'll be hopefully learning to ride a bike (a friend of mine is buying a cheap little Honda for friends like me to learn on and ride when they go riding).
My dad is/was a Harley rider, he has a 1979 Harley Davidson XLS Roadster. The reason i say is/was, is because he has not had his bike out in 3-4 years and has no intentions to really get it out i think...and he claims the bike is too heavy for me to start out with so, i'm planning to learn on the little Honda and begin building my own bike from the frame up, I'm liking the Sportsters and wanna build one with the same color scheme as the flat black of the new Sportsters (which i think are very awesome)
I imagine its a hard task, but i really want the experience of building something the way i want it built, plus it will help me learn the ins and outs of my motor and the bike itself...i mean this year i looked at a 1999 Hugger and REALLY REALLY regret not buying and no longer have the money to buy a bike all at once, but i can build one piece by piece since i'm horrible at saving lol
