There are three parts to each lane. Left,center and right.
The safe part of the lane is the left part of the lane so the driver in front can see you in the left meror. But as for the safest lane should be the left lane as long as you're going with the flow of traffic in that lane.
It's a battle out there and every driver is out to get you.
It's up to you to stay safe and adjust to ever moment and condition.
Best thing you can do to stay alive and out of the chair is to shoulder check every time and stay out of the blind spots.
