Hiya,
Just joined a couple days ago. My wife and I just bought an '03 Ultra Classic Luxury Blue gold key anniversary edition for my ride and an '05 Ultra Classic Sunglo Blue for her ride.
I've been riding for 40 years (including childhood bikes) and this is my 11th bike (but first Harley). The wife has been riding 12 years and this is her 3rd bike (also first Harley). We have both riden Harley "wanna-be's" but our last bikes were Honda ST1300's. I was an active member of that forum (with the same user name).
The groups we ride with are primarily Harley owners so the switch was an easy one for us. Have had the '03 since May 26th and put about 1500 miles on her. We picked up the '05 2 weeks ago and have just one trip on her... We wasted some great weather last weekend, but it was Father's Day.
BTW, Speaking of Dads, My Dad is 76 and currently riding one of our old Kawi Vulcans...
Ride On,
Dan-up
