speedo problems

hi all i`m having problems with my speedo on my dyna super glide. the needle stays at 160 km. when i drive the needle works but starts reading from 160.i changed sensor but still staying on 160.i didn`t try it for a drive yet i just started it up to see if it would work.if anyone has suggestons for me please let me know thanks.

Welcome from Virginia...USA. Called a WOW test. Ignition off, hold miles reset in and turn ignition on, release button, needle should peg and reset itself. All lights should check. If not check plug on back of speedometer (unplug,replug it in). Recheck. If fails make sure wires from speedometer plug look good going to the other components. Especial the ground wire. Your display will read different codes which you can hit the reset to go thru. Holding the reset 5 seconds in any section will clear the codes for that section. You really need service manual to do the full self diagnostics. There is 8 pages for my Softail in my Electrical Diagnostic Manual. (not the owner or service manual) PM me what you find out and I will try to walk you thru it if you are not rushed for time.
