Default Priced right?

hey guys new to motorcycles. I'm 27 and looking to sell my Mustang for a Harley. I had a guy preposition me for a one for one swap with his 1998 dyna wideglide 95th anniversary edition HD. it has 75K miles which seems pretty high. He also stated it was souped up/rebuilt motor with just 3500 miles on it. All S&S top end. heads, pistons, pushrods, cam, carb etc. Vance and hines pipes. He also said it idles to that perfect horse lope? and it comes with saddlebags, and padded sissy bar and quick release windshield. I was asking for $7500 for my car so would this be a good deal for me? like I said even if he did rebuild it the mileage still seems high. Also if it is a good deal what would I have to look out for when I look at it because I don't want to be screwed. I know to look and the frame and inspect for cracks but that's about it. also how is it to deal with a carb? it's been 15 years since I've ever seen one on a car so no clue about th maintenance of them but willing to learn.

I would try to get something newer with less miles. You don't want it to become a money pit for you, and if you're new to Harleys with little wrenching ability that could be an issue... Just a thought.

What kind of Stang do you have? I ditched my Stangs recently. Traded one for a sporty, sold the other then sold the sporty and bought my Dyna. Good luck on finding the right bike, take your time, look at many then look at more.

Sell the car and buy another bike. Just sold my 98 fxdwg with 20 k miles for 7000 and just bought a 2001 fxdwg with 1800 miles for 9000.

For $7,500 you can get a lot newer bike with a lot less miles. Of course that all depends on you really being able to get $7,500 for your Stang.

I'd run away from any bike w/ that much mileage, and avoid highly modified bikes altogether. Use your head. Do your due diligence. That bike's worth $4,000-5,000, if no issues. You can get a 10-year newer bike for $7,000. My '09 was $9,000, last year.
