Hi all, I am new to the forum. Recently, FINALLY, got my 05' Road King. Love it man, what a ride. Anyway, I have been using McGuires spray detailer in between washes. Is this stuff ok or can anyone recommend something they like more. Thanks.
First of all Welcome and glad you found the forum. As for myself I opted for the pricey Harley Polish/Gloss but the spray detailer should be fine IMHO. The polish/gloss is a great touch up in between major washes and its what I use most times when the bike doesn't have caked on mud or a lot of waterspots or bugs on it. Hope my 2 cents helps and a big congrats on the Road King!
Welcome to the forum, and congratulations on your new RK!! You'll find lots of helpful info here, and hopefully contribute some yourself to other "newbies" as time goes by.
Like rpoteau, I also use the Harley Polish/Gloss but I think very highly of Meguire's products as well. I think using their spray detailer is as good as anything else you'll find out there, including the over-priced Harley stuff.
Again, congratulations on the new Road King. Now wipe that smile off (if you can) and get ridin'!
Howdy Bill, welcome to the forum. Congrats on the new RK, as for using McGuires, I've heard that it is good stuff but I personally haven't used it yet. Enjoy the ride.
Do yourself a favor and get some Finish First Polish from LiquiTech. This stuff is fantastic! I use the polish, Metal Finish Creme and the Window Finish. I have been extremely satisfied with all of their products that I have tried. Leave the polish on at least 1 hour or for several days if you have the time, it buffs off easily no matter how long it is left on and the longer you leave it the deeper it looks. The best online prices I have found are on THIS SITE.
