What's up fella's, I'm Matt in Frederick, MD, and I thought i'd just say a word or two as a very happy, finally on an HD, owner. I'm not new to riding, just progressed through a few other bikes before coming upon my Road King. Started nearly a decade ago on a Ninja ZX6R, and nearly killed myself on it. After a deployment in Iraq I came damn close to buying a new Fat Bob thru the military sales program, but opted out for a number of reasons... all financially based. I ended up settling for a Shadow 1100, and that worked fine for me for years, although I purposely never sat on a Harley, knowing I'd catch the fever and never give a crap about my Honda again. I also picked up a Suzuki V-Strom (ugly *** pig) for commuting. I actually developed quite an emotional attachment to this bike, and ended up riding it from Cali out to MD. Even when I bought this HD, my wife wanted me to sell both the Honda and Zuk, but daddy had to put his foot down! The ugly *** pig isn't going anywhere!!! So, what did it for me? I sat on a Road King, took it on a test ride, and could never look at that Honda again in the same way. So, here I am, the new (used) owner of a 96 Road King, slammed to the deck, chromed the hell out, waiting for me to give it the attention it deserves. Well, that just about covers it, so I'm gonna shower up, suit up and hit the road! Today is going to be a beautiful day... stay safe!
