Been looking for some help for a few days and this site seemed to be one of if not the most active that I could find.
I have a 1993 Sportster 1200.
I'm having some electrical issues that have recently stumped me.
The bike was fine when I took it out the other day then all of a sudden I had no blinkers and when I looked at the tach it was eratic like it was doing whatever it wanted and my battery went dead. Immediately I thought it was the voltage regulator and replaced it, only to find that I have the same issues.
The bike will jump start but I have no blinkers and the tach is jacked up.
Has anyone run into an issue like this before? If the coil is bad will the bike still jump start? The blinkers are what is freaking me out. Can't seem to associate the tach and the blinkers. All other lights seem to work ok.
Summers are short in NE PA and I'd hate to waste anyome nice days with the bike parked.
Anyone have and ideas. I hate to keep buying parts unnecessarily.
Thanks for the welcome "racerdj" Look forward to a lot of good times and good info on this site.
There are many forums out there but unless they are active like this one they don't work for anyone. If anyone is looking for a great volvo site check out matthews volvo site. the folks there are fantastic. other then that I haven't had much luck with forums.
