My name is Marty. I haven't been around in a while, but I finally got my 06 salvaged Ultra converted to a custom street glide and I've run in to my first hiccup!
I bought a spiked air cleaner kit...no big deal, but I snapped one of my breather bolts and I can't find replacements anywhere as they are 3" long. I decided to just use regular bolts as I had plugged the cases on my Yami years ago with no problems. They are obviously vented different than Harleys. As I was warming up the bike, the transmission filler cap blew about 6ft across my driveway!
My question...is there another way to vent the crankcase besides the breather bolts? If not, I am going to have to machine some new ones.
