Well I have lurked around long enough and thought I would go ahead and join up. I have a 2001 Softail that was my Uncles bike, he passed away suddenly and I was proud to keep it on the road for him. I had never rode anything other than dirt bikes so I took the safety coarse and had been riding for about 6 months when some a-hole hit me at a red light and left me laying there. So, while I spent a month recovering I did some learning on here and bought me a HD book for my bike. The bike was totalled by the insurance company, but I just couldnt part with my Uncled bike. So I rebuilt it, learned alot more while doing so, and here is the finished project. Im really proud of my accomplishment and couldnt have done it without the knowledge gained here....so THANKS! Here are a couple before and after shots. The first pic is the day I got it, and the next is after the wreck. The last is me out for the first ride a month ago.

Thanks for the welcomes guys! Im really excited about being here. I will do a thread on the re-build, then I will enjoy the bike and this site for a little bit while I finish my car. I want to soak up the knowledge here and plan out a complete build from the ground up for my next one! Shhh.....dont tell my wife! hahaha!
