I just sold my last Jap bike @ 41yrs old I'm ready to have a hot rod cruzer so I got a 03 sportster with 4700 miles I have been looking/planning for years I have only rode it 150 miles so far. I have enjoyed it more than any other bike I have ever owned. I'm kind of a big guy @ 6,2 It has forward controls but I would like to move them a few more inches out. you guys have any good ideas on how to do that?
Welcome from Lexington, SC!!
There are several companies offering pre-fabbed relocation kits to move controls forward usually anywhere from 2" to 6". One of my friends is 6' 6" and he moved his controls on his Softail Springer forward 6" and went with a set of 10" high drag bars that didn't have much pullback and he is alot happier.Ii'm 6'2" as well and my Prostreet Softail could use about 3" forward as well.
Hope this helps.
